The Artists

London Philharmonic Orchestra

Vladimir Jurowski, conductor

Patricia Kopatchinskaja, violin

Russian conductor Vladimir Jurowski presents a pairing of his compatriots in this adventurous program with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Patricia Kopatchinskaja brings her unconventional virtuosity to Prokofiev’s ardently lyrical Second Violin Concerto, followed by the LPO and Rachmaninoff’s dynamic First Symphony, in which the composer stakes his claim as a melodic genius.

“Superb violinist…one of the outstanding artists of her generation.” New York Times on Patricia Kopatchinskaja
“Touching, mesmerizing, and slightly mad: like everything she does.” Times (U.K.) on Patricia Kopatchinskaja

There is no late seating.
